What is it?
Direct to garment is the newest technology for apparel printing. DTG is a process of applying color to fabric in definite patterns, designs, or garments utilizing the specialized inkjet technology. It is the same concept as an inkjet printer however DTG uses commercial water based apparel ink that prints onto the garment instead of paper. Also, it allows you to print an image directly onto a garment without requiring screens, film, or set up that is needed for screen printing. DTG has the ability to print up to 1200dpi on 100% cotton and 50/50% cotton/polyester blends. The higher the resolution of dpi the better result of the image will be. For a better idea on how image will turn out, print image on an inkjet printer with the desired size and the image will look the same on paper as it would on the garment.
